Beyond Hockey

I do have other interests other than hockey and the subject matter varies depending on what’s on my mind. I’m versatile and I work in a variety of mediums on canvas, paper and beyond. The Walkman Art Project

The Walkman Art Project was a year long study of the portable cassette player, long considered obsolete and no longer of interest, but after indulging myself fully in cassette culture and examining, listening to and depicting the machines, it has given me an appreciation that goes beyond just a machine that plays cassettes. The paintings are depictions of cassette players I own and have a personal connection with; I’ve listened to music on all of them. All the pieces were completed from April 2024-July 2025.

My Most Wanted Walkman Series

The “My Most Wanted Walkman” series is my fantasy sub-project of cassette players I do not own, but would most want to own because of their unique features (that may have been ahead of their time) and in some cases rarity. This was a sub-series of The Walkman Art Project. All the work is completed from August 2024- July 2025.
